Symbios Medical currently designs, manufactures, and markets pain management systems commonly known as ambulatory disposable pain pumps as the GOPump™, GOPump™ Dual the GOBlock™ and GOBlock-SF™ Continuous Peripheral Nerve Block Pumps are used for the post operative management of acute pain and they deliver non-narcotic pain medication to surgical sites or provide a regional pain block to a specific area of the body below the neck.
The Symbios Medical Products system is known for its simple design, portability, and sturdy assembly that prevents accidental overdose and breakage. Physicians claim that Symbios Medical’s simple and flexible pump allows patients to wear it for an extended period of time without major issues or discomfort unlike some costlier competitive products. Finally, the Symbios Medical design is nurse friendly, enabling the surgeon’s and anesthesiologist’s staff – key advocates for product adoption – to easily fill the elastomer as well as secure the catheter within a patient’s wound site or adjacent nerve bundle.
Production of Symbios Medical pain pumps occurs at the Company’s Indianapolis headquarters which includes an FDA cleared clean room facility.
In addition, Symbios Medical has aligned itself with a leading provider of third party billing services. The third party billing agency provides pain pumps on a consignment basis to ambulatory surgical centers (ASC). These centers specialize in outpatient surgery. ASCs can use pain pumps routinely without any inventory investment or concerns about reimbursement. This is a very strong value proposition to accounts.
