Governance and oversight is provided by an active Board of Directors.

Craig Overmeyer, Partner, Hopewell Ventures

Mr. Overmyer brings nearly 20 years of operational private equity experience to his role as a principal of Hopewell Ventures. In addition to Hopewell, he was instrumental in establishing Adena Ventures, L.P., the nation’s first and largest New Markets Venture Capital Company. Prior to joining Hopewell, he served as regional vice president for Ridgewood Capital where he managed the Chicago office.

Mr. Overmyer previously served as vice president of Cooper Investment Partners where he analyzed private equity transactions for accredited individual investors, family offices and private institutional pensions. Before joining Cooper, he was part of a team brought into Avondale Federal Savings Banks to develop and establish its in-house brokerage capability. He also has held a seat on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Mr. Overmyer earned his bachelor’s from Indiana University and completed graduate work at Indiana and the University of Chicago.

Jeffrey Lampe, CFA, Partner, Hopewell Ventures

Mr. Lampe’s responsibilities include identifying investment opportunities, coordinating due diligence, negotiating equity financings, and working with portfolio company management teams.

Mr. Lampe most recently was Co-Founder and Senior Associate of Gazelle TechVentures, a $63 million Indianapolis-based venture capital firm founded in 1999, where he was instrumental in all aspects of the firm’s operations and portfolio. Prior to Gazelle, Mr. Lampe was a Senior Associate with Monument Advisors/Monument Capital Partners. Mr. Lampe currently serves on the board of directors for several technology and health care companies.

He holds a BS from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame (High Honors). He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Society of Chicago.

Kingdon Offenbacker, President and CEO, Echo Engineering and Production Supply, Inc.

Kingdon Offenbacker has served as President and CEO of Echo Engineering & Production Supplies Inc since 1997.  In 2007, Kingdon founded Matri Holdings, the parent company of Echo Engineering.  Matri Holdings is a private equity firm investing in start up companies, private companies, public securities and commercial real estate holdings as well as researching growth opportunities within different market sectors.  Kingdon possesses over 19 years of experience in the distribution industry. His expertise in this business arena provides Matri and its investments exceptional leverage as it relates to Asia sourcing, providing competitive product lines and higher margins. Kingdon has been closely involved with leading academic institutions in the Midwest and has assisted these institutions in bringing a real time business environment closer to the classroom. For the past several years he has been both an active member of various governing bodies and a student with Northwestern University, Indiana University, and Harvard Law School through their executive programs.

Stephen F. Burns

Stephen is a graduate of Denison University and Indiana University School of Law. He practiced law, primarily litigation and business, for 20 years, representing such corporate clients as Eli Lilly, Lilly Endowment, and Johnson and Johnson. He was admitted to practice in many states, as well as the Seventh Circuit of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States. Stephen also taught business law courses at Butler University and Indiana University.

Stephen is currently Chairman of the Board of Wheaton World Wide Moving, having previously held the positions of CEO and President of that organization from 1988 to 2009. During his tenure as CEO, Wheaton grew from a company with gross revenues of 50 million to a company with gross revenues of more than 160 million, while maintaining Wheaton’s status as one of the most respected and quality-oriented companies in the United States.

In 2009, Steve received the industry’s highest award, The Moving and Storage Institute’s Lifetime Achievement award for distinguished service. Steve serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the American Moving and Storage Association and is currently treasurer of that organization. Steve received Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award for Indiana in 2006 and was a finalist for the National Entrepreneur of the Year the same year.

He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, the Indiana Economic Development Council, Indiana Children’s Wish Fund, the executive board of Give Kids The World and is a member of the Business Law Advisory Board for Indiana University and a Trustee of Marion College.
